(C)opyright Infringement (Released 2010)
So I guess this is my third mixtape then. I’ve travelled the country selling the ‘That’s MR ShaoDow To You’ CD for a little while now (over 7,500 sold to date!) I realised that whilst the media and the record labels tell you the music industry is melting down, there’s still a lot of people out there who are willing to reach into their pocket and support the music of a total stranger.
The support I’ve been receiving so far is overwhelming and I thank each and every person who buys my music, plays it, talks about it to someone else, writes about it. It all helps so much.
But words can only do so much so as a real thank you I jumped into the booth and recorded a brand new mixtape. I call it (C)opyright Infringement because technically I’ve nicked the original beats from the internet. So if the original producers hear this, I only did it because I was inspired by the original so please don’t sue me.
The mixtape comes with a free Digital Booklet in the download folder and an exclusive look at my upcoming track ‘Rolling Blackouts’, original producers and tracks are all listed in that, but to repeat. The original producers are Dr Dre, Nocturnal, Dilla, Sticky, Focus, Gadget and ‘Rolling Blackouts’ by Wild Swim.
I’ve Put This Mixtape Up For Free Download In The Shop as I just want you to enjoy the music, the best thing you can do for me is download it, play it, talk about it to someone else, write about it … well you get the point. Oh and don’t forget to let me know what you thought.
So go download it now, no excuses…

‘That’s MR ShaoDow To You’ Mixtape (Released 2009)
The second Mixtape that I released, ‘That’s MR ShaoDow To You’ is a collection of some of my favourite tracks that I’ve worked on, put together on one CD. The CD features a whole host of original material and two promotional tracks made using well know commercial beats. I travel alone across the country selling this CD, so far I have sold in excess of 7,500 copies.
I believe part of the reason this mixtape is so well received is because it is different. The concepts are fresh, it features a range of different genres (including Hip Hop, Rock, Dubstep, Grime and Funky House) and in general it is genuinely good, honest music. If you put the CD into a computer there is some bonus content.
My favourite tracks from this Mixtape would probably be ‘R U Stoopid!?!’, ‘Mouth Cancer’, ‘Rap Superstar’ and most definitely ‘Cockney Thug’!
Track producers on this CD include, Irn Mnky, Millenium Jazz Productions, Offkey Productions and unofficial remixes of a Cypress Hill and a Rusko track. The final mixing and mastering of this CD was carried out at NLT Studios.

‘The Freestyle Survival Tour’ Mixtape (Released 2009)
Serocee, Myself and LeeN travelled up to Scotland as part of the Freestyle Survival Tour (our own invention). The aim was to make it back down to London using only our skills with lyrics, performing and selling CD’s.
This is the CD that got us home, a compilation of tracks from the three artists.
If you already have That’s MR ShaoDow To You you’ll already recognise the tracks I contributed to it, but if you’re interested in hearing what the other artists are about then this is definitely the CD to get.
My Favourite tracks from this Mixtape are ‘I’m LeeN’, ‘Badeng’ ‘AO’, ‘Promoter Man’ and ‘Aaaarrrggghhh’, well, to be honest I like the whole thing!
Production on this mixtape comes from the likes of Urban Monk, MJ Cole, Millenium Jazz Productions, Offkey Productions and John Bishop. The final mixing and mastering of this CD was carried out at NLT Studios.

‘The Look Out Single’ (Released 2009)
The third full length song I ever wrote and the first proper song I ever recorded ‘Look Out There’s A Black Man Coming’ will always be an important song to me. It was named 4th in Oxfordshire’s Top Twenty Charts coming after Radiohead at Number 3.
This track was mastered by OJB from Mixforme.
The original track was produced by Elements Bound Productions, The Remix was adapted by Lee Smilex.
ARTIST: Mr ShaoDow and Smilex
ABOUT: A tongue in cheek anti-racist track from the eyes of a young black man. A collaboration between myself and Oxford based band Smilex, the single features the Rock Remix and the Original. A percentage of the profits will be donated to Love Music Hate Racism.
My favourite thing about this song will always be the hook “Look Out There’s A Black Man Coming! People in wheelchairs get up and start running!” The whole song was built around that initial idea.
Some people end up taking the song the wrong way, but it’s all about challenging the automatic stereotypes that we hold, assuming things about a person because of the colour of their skin or how they dress.

‘The Grime Single’ (Released 2008)
I think this song was born out of frustration, seeing one too many bad songs and videos on Channel U. I decided to take my anger out on the microphone. Remember, irony is the lowest form of wit but the best way for me to get a point across!
ARTIST: Mr ShaoDow
ABOUT: My first official single released. A song about say nothing MC’s who have more interest in becoming rich and famous than improving their skill as artists. Because of rappers like MC Wasteman, artists who are trying to make genuine music don’t get a chance.
The Single features ‘Grime’ and the remix ‘Funky Grime’.
Produced by Offkey Productions.

‘The ShaoDow Saga’ EP (Released 2007)
After deciding to give my music a serious chance at the beginning of 2007 I hit the booth and recorded a few of my first solo tracks. Being the enterprising son of a gun that I am, I decided I’d put them all together into my first release (an EP) and name it The ShaoDow Saga. So I invested in some CD creating equipment, hit the streets and got the EP out to the people of Oxford and a few surrounding areas.
Special thanks to a rapper called Zuby who took the time out to give me some pointers on how to shift CD’s back when I was first starting.
Producers on this EP include Elements Bound Productions and Offkey Productions.
Unfortunately ‘The ShaoDow Saga’ is no longer available for purchase so if you have a copy, hold onto it, it may be worth something one day!
